Key Responsibilities 3D Modeling & Design: Create precise 3D CAD models of fine jewelry pieces (rings, pendants, earrings, bracelets, bangles) using industry-standard software. Technical Design & Feasibility: Ensure design specs are manufacturable—accounting for metal shrinkage, stone tolerances, prong security, wall thickness, and ergonomics. Photo-Realistic Rendering: Generate high-quality 3D renders and visual presentations for client approvals or marketing catalog usage. Collaboration: Work closely with bench jewelers, master setters, product managers, and production teams to resolve manufacturing challenges early. CAM & 3D Printing Preparation: Slice, support, and prepare CAD files (.STL, .3DM) for 3D wax/resin printing and investment casting. Design Revisions: Modify existing designs based on client feedback, stone size variations, or structural modifications. Key Requirements & Qualifications Experience: 2–5+ years of hands-on experience as a Jewelry CAD Designer in fine jewelry or manufacturing. Software Proficiency: High skill level in Matrix / MatrixGold, RhinoGold / Rhino 3D, or ZBrush (Keyshot for rendering is a plus). Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of jewelry manufacturing processes (casting, stone setting, assembly, polishing) and gemstone/diamond dimensions. Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing technical precision, complex assembly design, and realistic 3D renders. Attention to Detail: Excellent spatial reasoning, eye for proportions, and focus on microscopic accuracy. Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have) Experience with custom bridal and fine gemstone setting techniques. Basic understanding of manual bench jewelry work or hand sketching. Experience operating 3D wax/resin printers (EnvisionTEC, Formlabs, Solidscape).
